This piece was such a ridiculous journey and I’m really glad that I got the opportunity to work on it with my baby teaat2am. She had this incredible sketch of Daenerys and I just was like “PLEASE LET ME PAINT THIS???” 

I worked on this piece for about a week straight and it made me really break out of a comfort zone. Now I can finally lie down and die happily. 8) 

Here’s the final edit of the piece! I’ve also included details at 50% and the comparison of the sketch and the final piece.

Old work.  I was browsing my OP art folder just now being nostalgic and I thought I’d share this one with you guys.

This was a collaborative piece between myself and moementm from Summer of 08.
There are some glaring mistakes looking back on it, but I still love this piece a lot.  

We laughed and cried over this piece a lot back then, cuz I lost the line-art 3 or 4 times during the course of the piece, and Kitey had ALOT to color in a really tight time constraint (I think we were working on this for Otakon 08.)
